About

Welcome to My World!
I'm Jay, from Torres Vedras, Portugal. Welcome to my corner of the internet.
This is my digital home, part diary, part lab, part confessional. Nothing here is polished for show; it's raw, personal, and honest. Writing is how I untangle my thoughts, confront myself, and connect with others who feel just as curious or lost
This blog reflects my life: a mix of walking trails, car and bike tours, pages of writing, and a deep fascination with the human mind. Here, I share moments of exploration, study, and introspection as I work on my book about mental health and human existence.
I've always been self-taught by nature. My mental hyperactivity and constant thirst for knowledge push me to learn on my own, to read, observe, and connect ideas in my own way. Lately, my focus has been on the most intriguing subject of all: the brain and the mind, especially within the context of mental health, neuroscience, and human behavior.
The car and bike tours you'll find here are much more than simple adventures, where I show the beautiful region of Oeste, in Portugal. They're my way of finding mental balance, a form of natural therapy and a dopaminergic source of energy that helps me recharge, focus, and stay creative. Movement gives me clarity, and being outdoors reconnects me with life.
I don't consider myself an expert in anything, except perhaps in Communication and Journalism. Everything else comes from curiosity, discipline, and an endless drive to understand life in its rawest form.
Here, you'll find me studying every book I own - as a sub-project, like my small garden -, taking detailed notes (many of which I turn into videos for those who enjoy studying with company), exploring the world around me, and writing with honesty, curiosity, and humanity.
If you're interested in self-discovery, mental health, neuroscience, slow living, or simply thoughtful reflection, you might feel at home here.
Welcome again!
Jay
